My 2 fils

Well, dont think we’re in much danger when we tweet now since thats what everyone is talking about on a regular basis.

Before, people used to go “Hey! How are you! Nice weather today huh?” when they see their mates.

Now its along the lines of “Hey! Enjoying your new salary?” or “Hey! Those folk who entered parliament eh?”

Ridiculous.. its sad really.  People forget what our fathers and grandfathers (and grandmothers) built.

And yes, we CAN use the term “sweat and blood” here.

We went through war together, and got through it.

We’re a tiny country with a loud voice (for the next 50 years anyway).

Our history speaks for itself.  We have achieved.

We boasted about democracy in our region.  True democracy.

We are religious, yet open minded.

We havent sold our soul to the west, neither have we been stubborn with our roots.

In short

We are blessed.

But, why do I feel like crying about whats happening to Kuwait right now?

Why do I feel right now, that this country is close to crying?

How are we allowing ourselves to do this to our country?  What do we have if we dont have Kuwait?

To whats happened regarding the salaries of everyone in Kuwait, I use the words of a wise man:

A ‘No’ uttered from the deepest conviction is better than a ‘Yes’ merely uttered to please, or worse, to avoid trouble. -Mohandas Gandhi

And with regards to the violence that escalated recently, authority need to remember:

Object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent.

Thats just my humble 2 fils on the issues.
